Emtek 28° privacy replacement latch in 2 3/8 backset
28° rotation latch is designed to work with a corresponding door mechanism and cannot be retrofitted.

Q: Will this latch work for a lever type handle or just a knob. Is it strong enough to hold a lever handle.

A: This latch works for Emtek knobs and levers with 28 degree latch function.

Q: Will this work for the Emtek 4812US10B? And do you have the latch for the single cylinder deadbolt for a 1 3/8” backset? We have a new handleset for a 1 3/4” backset, so need to get the 1 3/8” latches for it.

A: Privacy latches and 28 ø Latches are not compatible with Emtek 4812 Handlesets.

The two latches below work with a 2-3/8" backset Arts & Crafts Handleset

A: Center to center for screw holes is 1 5/8".

Q: Does this door latch open both up and down? I want one that only works for a left handed door. And I want it to only open down. Thanks!

A: This latch is for use with an Emtek privacy set that is built to work with a 28 degree latch. Emtek latches are not handed.
