Emtek 5108E Egg Key In Knob Lockset # 8 Rosette

This is a STOUT doorknob. I had read reviews, and been trying to find a place that studio'd them near me and just decided to take a chance to grab one. This replaced the most used knob in the house, and with two littles, that entry way was getting worked. You instantly feel the difference in heft when you pull it out, and there is absolutely no space where they could add weights like these were Beats headphones, either. Rather than relying on a disc to activate the latch like a kwikset hardware store lock, the entire pillar that runs the length of the knob is actuating the latch mechanism. It's a smooth and sure action, and ridiculously easy to install. I know this is more than most would consider on a doorknob, but after this one, I am likely to replace all my external knobs with ones from this line. It is just that well made. I doubt I'll have to buy another for the life of the house.
